How does air pollution affect our body

How does air pollution affect our body? This can answer from the reason I chose biochemistry for internship. I choose science because I want to save this environment and help this community become a better place.
I want to investigate how does air pollution affect our body because in this industrialized environment we often forget the negative side of chemical exhaustion but only know the convenience of it. Recent years, we can hear many news about having bizarre sickness and found out that it is cause by pollutions. From the Cadmium polluted rice to green oyster, Every case is another step toward hell.
I want to find out how does air pollution affect our body and educate the community the right knowledge so we can all b aware of our environment.

"Science" Park ? Taiwan?

"Science" park? it's really "science" or it's industrialization park？

From the reading, I can see the disastrous humanity of most Taiwanese people. I believe the case in reading is just a small edge of a big problem.

Often, I have the same thought as the reading (The Silence of Silicon Lambs). However, I do not want to focus on only science park but the whole Taiwan. Since US and Europe countries were industrialized, Taiwanese trying hard to push Taiwan's economy and wanting Taiwan become a developed country. Oppositely, we pushed and saved the wrong way. Media, government, and governors try to cover the negative fact. Therefore, it caused many corporation doing underground illegal activities. In recent years' news I found out that these cases are NOT just happening in Science park but also polices and education.

In Taiwanese education, many things in textbooks are not really doing the duty of education. Taiwanese education are focus more on test, job, future. Often, they ask to memorize the isolated information in textbook and not think about the saving environment or helping the community. The only people who were concern about our environment were only researchers or scholars. Economy of the Taiwan may seem important but avoiding the truth cannot make this country's education improve because it loses the point of education.

In Taiwanese politics, It is wrong that politician use "helping economy" this excuse to mess Taiwanese's mind. Media are like amplifier, it makes the things become more crucial and more well known. However, most of politician in Taiwan knew the affect of media. Therefore, they started underground activity and started to pointing finger to other politicians. Nevertheless, most of them were actually taking the advantage of making money and getting more support but not improving the environment.

In conclusion, this modern and convenient world, things looks harmless but in fact they are hiding the inconveniences in the future.

the end of the Cat's cradle

I personally think the end was pretty straight forward. At the end everyone died and the world sounds like it ended. Kurt Vonnegut wait till this moment showing the whole idea. At last he describe the book name cat's cradle. He satire the humanity of this society. I think he just criticized the region and the humanity. From my perspective of what he trying to do was to tell that cat's cradle is similar to life. From previous pages He is trying to tell the reader that Cat's cradle is a fun looking string game that means nothing and telling that the religion today is phony.

8th grade exhibition presentation

Today is a important day because I am going to present in front of whole school. I am a person who is excited to present but I felt really stressed and nervous that I am going to face all those people.The reason of that is When ever I get nervous my brain will get froze up. The consequence of that are I cannot talk properly, I will lose my point easily.

After I went to school I felt so nervous and so excited that I can heard my heart beating, pumping and hand trembling with sweat. Feel the heat from my body. The all school gathering is in the morning at eight and it is 10 minute from now. When I settle my things down and put my stuff in locker, I immediately run up to fifth floor and set my mac and be ready.

When people are coming up I was reviewing my material for the presentation and see if I lose something. Until everyone come up and sit in the circle, my heart beat pump faster than before now and I start shaking my foot. I see my self shrinking and the face of the people become more devious. Whenever people look at me and ask if I am nervous I will reply I was excited. I believe I was excited although people say I look calm.

After Mr.Loken announce, It is the time to show. First person going on was Daniel Wu. I want to thank him a lot because he make me be the second one to go on. When Daniel comes off, I went up. I feel like to pass out so I was holding the table all the time. Suddenly, when I was going to speak, I forgot everything. I do not know what to say so I squeeze my brain and trying to have a description that could tell the audience and get rit of it fast. Eventually, I read the whole presentation and add what I thought. finally I finish the presentation

It is a stressful process to got through. After school gather Everyone said that my presentation was funny, great, and alive. Those words had made my day.

Teach with cell phone?

I believe that theoretically it will work but in the actual case it cannot. I think that education can be creative and "alive" but many times it will not work. Provide cell phone to teach student may cause chaos. Technology is not design for education because they are not a good and safe tool for student to use to learn.

Often technology got recreated and hacked by people.According to the article we can make rules but in many case punishment cannot solve the problem because it is similar to diseases the disgusting technic will get better. For a good example, From my observation and what I found, in our school technology is a problem. I personally believe that it is over use of technology. People in our school people use PC and Mac. For the minor reason computer game are similar disease because it will spread out and everyone will have one in their computer. When is the time for break everyone just siting on the chair and playing game not getting sun light under the sun. That is a unhealthy habit for student to learn. Well, the major reason is during class. People is not paying attention in class because of the computer. The user's agreement seems not work. there are a hole from that because it is computer. It could hide almost everything in it. Computer operate system is only a script of computer language that organize the other computer script so you can use it conveniently but you still could make a computer script that hide from the operate system. From this example therefore I think that technology should not be used in education.

8th grade perspective essay

I were told to write a short essay in class. It is an essay written from when 8th grade present their expedition. I was having fun writing that short essay. I was writing from Kevin Chi's perspective but instead of writing him I create another person. In the short story I imagine what is Kevin Chi thinking in front of the whole school. The reason that I choose Kevin Chi is because I think he is interesting and I think is a stereotype to write a person go on stage and act like they are nervous.

If I got more time. I want to revise the essay because the essay written in a short time so I believe that there will have many mistakes in the essay.

Writing and reading fictions

I read many stories on Fiction on web and I found out amazing that It actually follow the rule from The Owl At Purdue site. On the site It tell the problems that happened often on beginning fiction writer. The problems are Summary and Scenes, telling and showing, control of scope of the story, stereotype character, overly dramatic plot.
After reading stories, I see the most often and the most important problem was the controlling the scope of the story. From what I read they all show good at controlling the scope. I do not know if that is somebody's problem but I think one of my big problem was controlling the scope of the story.
In the first story I read, Adenburrow, I found that the story is well organized in both it's ideas and paragraphs. In the story I found really good scene and really good dramatic plot. It really describe a man who is having day dream about sex and interrupt by a unrelated stranger.
Another story I read was Granny. It was about a family's granny have a weird habit of prepare give. In the story I found the story have a well fixing stereotype character because it give many information about the character.
After reading many I found interesting that many of story in the fiction on web are pretty straight forward. I do not know if I am really lucky that in five story that I read I did not found any symbolism or satire or.....etc. However, I think this shows how important that having good organized story is better than the bad organized but got many literary term.
